Cairngorm Capital is a specialist private equity firm providing investment capital, strategic insight and sector-specific expertise to leading UK companies. We invest in private mid-market companies that have the potential for further substantial growth.
We are thematic investors with a strong collaborative approach, who partner with ambitious management teams to build enduring, industry-leading companies.
Our current portfolio companies have more than 7,250 employees and combined revenues greater than £1.2 billion.

What we look for
We invest in profitable companies that have the potential for transformative growth. Most of our investments are in UK-headquartered businesses, but we are equally comfortable investing in North America and in continental European firms. We have particular expertise in investing in family and founder-owned companies.
Structure
We take majority positions in companies valued at up to £200 million.
Occasionally we take minority positions in very high-growth companies.
Capital
We have committed equity capital in excess of £400m for investments.
Typically we deploy £10-40m into each portfolio company.
Active partners
We are actively involved in the strategy and operational focus of our companies, partnering with management teams to build value through growth and operating improvements.
So the quality and success of a management team is an important factor in our investment decision.
Driving transformational change
Our companies develop the capabilities to accelerate organic revenue growth, through commercial optimisation, geographic expansion, service line extensions and digital transformation.
We provide expert support for acquisitive growth initiatives.
